I can correct a misidentification within the movie database today. The film listed there as ANTHAR L'INVINCIBILE (http://chross.blogt.ch/moviedb/index.php?id=618&s=) as it turns out has actually nothing to do with the photo of the spanking. I always thought that it looked much more like a 1950ies type of set photography, not like the 60ies. I also had the idea that the spanker kind of resembled a young Omar Sharif – but I never gave it a second thought.
Until today, when I watched “Anthar L’Invincible” online, and found neither the spanking scene nor the actors featured in its photographic image. I began to follow the Omar Sharif trace, starting with his earliest films. And I found it! Because the poster of the 1954 Egyptian film “Shaytan (or Shaitan) al-Sahra” , Sharifs debut, features the same picture on its poster, look here:

The films got mixed up because the alternate title of “Anthar L’Invincible” is “Devil of the Desert Against the Son of Hercules” and one of the European titles of “Shaytan al-Sahra” is also “Devil Of the Desert”. AND the lead actress of “Anthar L’Invincible” also has quite a resemblance to the spankee in the photo. Which is why that picture circulated with the wrong credits, which nobody had a chance to know until one of the films resurfaced on youtube.
“Shaytan al-Sahra” IS not online as of now, although you will find a movie file at ok.ru – but that seems to be Sharif’s second film (also from 1954) that was mislabeled by the poster. The film appears NOT to be lost though.
There is also a possibility that the film is online but with Arabian credits, which I could not search for.
